Jesus, the Hope of my Glory

Inspired by Pastor's first message at King's Chapel. This piece is based on Colossians 1:27.

Jesus, the hope of my glory
The only ONE I need to achieve
The Gift,
The Power that transcended from above,
Giving us the pleasure of knowing Him,
And the ability to serve Him
My hope.
The ONE who will take me to status and fame,
Yet only His name will be magnified-
Glorified.
And yet somehow I too will attain my desire to be of influence,
Allowing Him to inspire through me
Jesus.
Jesus, the Lord God,
Giver of all good things,
Able to perform over and beyond my expectations
My imagination wanders to a place where I explode in my gifting,
Uplifting woman and child and all the while making His heart known to the masses.
I seek a place to relay this desire to be great!
Don’t underestimate His great power,
His ability to exalt such lowly things
As a simple mom and wife trying to help make ends meet.
What a wonder it would be to become a vehicle of greatness and wealth for my family,
Being endowed with wisdom and the ability to restrain from lavishness and foolishness,
Instead to invest and save, invest and save,
Until one day,
No debt left to pay.
One day,
A woman known for integrity and grace,
One look at her face and you know she’s been there…
The glow, yes, the glory found in His presence,
The essence of His touch divine,
One look and you wonder where you’ve been all these years…
The glory,
The hope of my glory
The ONE who will make me who I want to be,
The ONE I must seek after,
The ONE who will take my fleshly desires and purify…making me a useable vessel.
Christ in me.
In me!
The mystery,
The Secret Thing,
That if I would partake,
He will lead me on to a land so prosperous and abundant, I wouldn’t know what to do.
The mystery hid from ages and generations,
Revealed to me
That I may see and break free and from the least become the greatest of all,
But for a purpose,
To affect my generation,
To lift my family,
To bring us from obscurity to a wealthy place,
To establish a plan for generations to come
And GIVE lavishly!
That’s me.
That’s who I’d like to be.
Let His power flow through me.
Jesus, the hope of my glory.
