What is in a Name?

Names are generally identifiers, names distinguish their bearers in the midst of a multitude. In bible days, names were derived from pre-circumstance of birth events and could be prophetically given to predict the future. Therefore a name for a christian, can be a weapon of warfare, full of meaning and power to dislodge oppositions. Names are attached to worthwhile characters, cherished and revered with an intent to replicate, hence bearers of such names are careful not to disparage, demean or subject to ridicule their cherished names. Kings Chapel denotes the chapel owned by the KING. Who is a King? A king is an ABSOLUTE ruler for life who is to be REVERED as the SOVEREIGN leader of his people. As children of the most high God, God is our KING and ABSOLUTE leader, therefore it is incumbent on us as His children or "subjects" to project His image and character as enunciated in His word. We are to protect and defend our collective integrity as His children and the mark of the cross that we bear at all times. This does not suggest that we are perfect, but we are conscious to be teachable and willing to inspect what we expect at the end of our christian race. If God is our KING we must strive to live our lives for Him and always seek to please Him, only then can we stay true to His name upon our lives, and bring Him honor. Application of His words to our daily living is our ABSOLUTE responsibility, for His word has absolute competence to save anyone that adheres to it-James 1:21. God bless.
